FAQs
What is the Dress Code for the weekend?
For our Welcome Party on Friday, October 4th the dress code is Cocktail Attire:
Ladies: A cocktail dress, jumpsuit, or a stylish skirt and top.
Men: A suit or blazer with dress pants and a collared shirt. Ties are optional.
Please note that The Boathouse requires a jacket for men.
For our Wedding on Saturday, October 5th, the dress code is Semi-Formal:
Semi-Formal for Ladies: A tea-length or maxi dress or elegant jumpsuit.
Our wedding will be held outdoors under a tent, so please wear shoes that are comfortable for grass and uneven terrain. We recommend wedges, block heels, dressy sandals or flats.
Semi-Formal for Men: A suit, collared shirt and tie. Dress shoes with sturdy soles are recommended for walking on grass.
Will the Events be held outdoors?
Our Welcome Party on Friday, October 4th will be held indoors at The Boathouse in Edgartown.
However, our wedding will be held outdoors at Lambert's Cove Inn with a garden ceremony followed by a cocktail hour. In the case of inclement weather, our ceremony and reception will take place under a tent.
Will transportation be provided?
Transportation to the Welcome party at The Boathouse will not be provided. If you plan to drive to The Boathouse there is a valet lot at 69 N Summer Street and public parking on the streets.

Will there be bar service?
Yes, due to the Town Ordinance of West Tisbury, Lambert’s Cove Inn legally can only serve wine and beer. There will be plenty of varieties and also gluten free options available for guests.
What should I pack?
In addition to packing your attire for the Welcome Party and Wedding, we also recommend packing casual wear like comfortable sundresses, tops, and pants ideal for exploring the island during the day, along with lightweight sweaters or jackets for the cooler evenings. Footwear should include comfortable walking shoes or sneakers for daytime outings. Since it’s October, layering is key to adapting to the island’s sometimes unpredictable weather. In case of a sunny weekend, pack swimsuits, flip-flops, and a beach towel for potential beach visits. In case of a cold or rainy weekend, rain-friendly shoes and an umbrella are recommended.
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to space limitations, we are unable to accommodate additional guests beyond those listed on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to sharing this memorable occasion with you.
The Wedding Ceremony: Can we take photos?
While we love that you want to capture our special moments, we kindly request an unplugged ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present and immersed in the experience. Our professional photographer will be capturing all the highlights and guests, and we'll share the photos with you afterwards. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a distraction-free environment for our ceremony.
