Getting to the Island
Martha’s Vineyard is an island off the coast of Cape Cod accessible only by boat, ferry or plane.
By Ferry:
The Steamship Authority offers roundtrip car and passenger ferry service from Woods Hole, MA to Martha's Vineyard. The ferry stops at Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs
Passenger & bike tickets can be purchased anytime prior to the trip, including day-of at the ferry terminal.
If you plan on bringing your car to Martha’s Vineyard you must make a reservation ahead of time on the Steamship Authority website and arrive 30 minutes prior to your ticketed time of departure. If you are leaving your car on the mainland, there are parking lots operated by the Steamship Authority. The SA operates complimentary shuttle buses with bike racks to and from these lots.

Martha’s Vineyard Fast Ferry (arriving from Rhode Island)
Seastreak Ferries (arriving from New York/New Jersey and New Bedford)
Island Queen (arriving from Falmouth harbor)
Patriot Party Boats (arriving from Falmouth harbor)
By Plane:
There are daily flights to Martha's Vineyard Airport (MVY) from Boston, New York, DC and other regional airports. We recommend booking early for low pricing and availability.

By Bus

By Car
You may take your car onto the Steamship Authority ferry with a reservation. Spots get booked up so please make your reservation in advance.
Rental cars are also available on the island via Budget, Hertz and Avis.
